Dear Subscriber

Refund Policy

Effective date: September 28, 2026

This policy explains how refunds work for Quiz List Launch, the Format, Test & Schedule Service, and our Digital Products, and how it fits with consumer rights in the United States and the European Union. It should be read together with our Terms of Service. We are not lawyers, and nothing here is legal advice.

Quiz List Launch

Quiz List Launch is a custom, done for you service, not a digital download. Because of this, we do not offer cash refunds once work has begun, which is when we have your completed intake form and your accounts and access are in place.

Instead, we stand behind our guarantee: if your system is not built and working, we will fix it. This covers the system itself, your quiz and sign up, connections, automations, and email sequence, working exactly as installed at handoff. It does not cover a change of direction, a new quiz, work outside the agreed scope, or problems caused by changes made after handoff. Full details are in our Terms of Service.

If you cancel before work has begun, before we have your completed intake form and access is in place, we will refund your payment in full.

Format, Test & Schedule Service

This is a monthly service, billed in advance. We do not refund a month already billed, including the month in which you cancel. You can cancel at any time with 30 days notice, and you remain responsible for fees up to the end of that notice period. Unused emails within a month do not roll over and are not refunded.

Digital Products

Digital Products, such as courses, templates, checklists, or guides, are delivered electronically and are available to you instantly. Because they cannot be returned once accessed, all sales of Digital Products are final and non-refundable, except where required by law.

Your Right to Cancel: United States

US law does not give a general right to cancel a completed digital service or a delivered digital product once you have taken possession of it. Some limited rules exist for specific situations, such as in-person sales, which do not apply to purchases made through our website. Refunds for our services and Digital Products are governed by this policy and the guarantee described above, not by a separate statutory cancellation right.

Your Right to Cancel: European Union and United Kingdom

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you normally have a 14 day right of withdrawal after an online purchase, sometimes called a cooling off period. This right works differently depending on what you buy from us, and it does not apply if you are purchasing as a business, which is how we offer Quiz List Launch and the Format, Test & Schedule Service. If you are a business buyer, the sections above apply and this section does not. If eligible, you can also exercise your right of withdrawal directly through the withdrawal function provided at checkout, in line with Article 11a of the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

For a consumer buyer, the position is as follows:

This confirmation is not pre-selected for you. It is a separate, active step at checkout, distinct from agreeing to our Terms of Service, and we keep a record of it.

How We Calculate a Fair Deduction

If you withdraw while a Quiz List Launch project is still in progress, we calculate the fair deduction described above using the stages of the build, so this is worked out consistently rather than case by case:

A stage counts as complete once the work described in it has actually been done. For example, if you withdraw after the build stage is complete but before testing has started, you would be refunded the 30% allocated to testing and handoff, and would keep the completed build. This same approach applies to the Format, Test & Schedule Service, treated on a per-email basis rather than per project.

If We End the Engagement

We may decide, at our own discretion, to decline, pause, or end an engagement at any time. This can happen for reasons such as finding we are not able to deliver the work as scoped, or determining that we are not the right fit for each other. This is separate from ending an engagement for cause, such as a serious breach of our Terms of Service.

If we end an engagement for these reasons, we will refund you rather than asking you to absorb the cost of a decision that was ours to make. If work has not yet begun, you receive a full refund. If work is already in progress, you receive a refund for the portion of the work not yet delivered. This applies to Quiz List Launch and to the Format, Test & Schedule Service.

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you have a concern about a charge, please contact us first at hello@dearsubscriber.co so we can try to resolve it directly. Filing a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us first can delay a resolution, since it is handled by your bank or card provider rather than by us, and may affect your ability to access the service while it is investigated.

Third Party Costs

Some costs are billed to you directly by another company, such as your domain, your email marketing platform, or Cloudflare. These are outside our control and outside this policy. Any refund for those costs is a matter between you and that company.

How Refunds Are Paid

Where a refund is due under this policy, it is issued to the original payment method used at checkout, through ThriveCart and its payment processors, Stripe or PayPal. Processing times depend on your bank or card provider.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
